how to check freon in a mazda Protege 5?

its a 2002.

cant find the eyeglass, or know that it has one for that matter.

any help is appreciated.

Does it not blow cold air? If it does then you have a full charge. If it doesnt there is a leak some where and putting more in wont help. You have to find the leak, fix it, vac the system from moisture so you dont blow up the condenser, and have it recharged.

cars don't use freon, it's R-134a. it's probably behind the passenger fender well.

but ill look by the fender well.
