People....

You're killing me. Let me let you all know how online sales work.

You go to the seller. He has something that peaks your interest. You say "gee, I really wish I had that". You click "add to cart", you fill out your billing information.. and then the product is sent to you after you click "confirm" or "place order". YOU DO NOT RECIEVE THE PRODUCT BEFORE PAYMENT. That is not how the retail or resale industry works. You cannot expect one seller to give you a break because "your a good person, and I have lots of references". No one cares. Money is easier to refund than an actual product if it gets lost in the mail or destroyed.

Everyone just needs to chill the fuck out and use the classifieds as you would an online store. Have you ever called up.. eh say... Ike Sound, to ask if it would be ok if they sent you what you wanted from their warehouse and then once you get it, then you'll send the money. Do you see how stupid that sounds? It's the same EXACT concept here.

learn it, live it. If your uncomfortable with the concept, find somewhere else to buy.

For the most part, I agree. But youve got to be out of your **** mind if someone on here or any other forum, with single or even double digit posts, no ref's and high end equipment thinks for a moment I will send the money first. USE COMMON SENSE. If you (whether you are the seller or buyer) are not comfortable with the transaction, dont do it.

Why not just set up a 'buy it now' at the agreed price? Worst case scenario - either someone else buys it first, or it goes unpurchased, and the seller loses five cents.

This way, all the eBay and Paypal whoserwhat's are in place, and nobody loses their junk / cash.

Tf.

Sorry to inform you, but Paypal and Ebay's fraud policy is crap.

I lost $500 in DEc to some stupid little trick who was selling Ipods that she supposedly bought from a website and never received. She used our money to buy the Pods from a fraudulent website and then they were never sent to her.

She did not refund my, or the 50 other people's money.

We filed complaints with Ebay and Paypal. Paypal said that they could not recover our money simply because she has emptied out her paypal account and they had no access to any cash. Ebay said that they would conduct an investigation and nothing has happened since even though I call them on a weekly basis.

Paypal and Ebay are NOT safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In another incident, I got screwed when I sent someone an item, but did not send it with package tracking. The guy receives it, but claims to Paypal that he didn't receive it. Well, I didn't learn my lesson from the other incident and I still had money in my Paypal aco****. So, the F'ers at Paypal take $110.00 out of my account and give it back to that guy who I know has received the item because he left negative feedback about me on Ebay because I took 5 days to ship out the item. So, I have proof that he has the item because he knows the postmark date, yet Paypal takes my money and gives it back to him just because I can't give them a stupid delivery confirmation number.

Paypal IS NOT SAFE!!!!!!!!!!

So just be careful. Only deal with people with MANY MANY transactions ( >500 ) and make sure you cover your *** in every way possible.

that could work. People who are uncomfortable should try this. The person who wanted it should foot the bill for the fees.

Sure I agree with the lack of references and experience. But for those of us who do have all of those things, trust should not be an issue. There are plenty of people in here that interact daily and know each other through various car audio related things.

use a freggin credit card. if they steal your money. call visa\mastercard\discover and they will find them, get your money, put them in jail, and punch their parents in the mouth.

as long as you use a credit card thru paypal, then you ARE safe, because creditcard companies dont take shit from anyone.

Just because you made unwise decisions, doesn't mean PayPal and eBay are not good. I have had nothing but good experiences. Sure people have tried to rip me off... but there's this thing called CYA. Works good. So does being smart. And BTW that fraud policy does work. Just not for you because that transaction was so bad.. that any body with the left side of their brain could have figured out that it wasn't a good idea to buy her shyst. If its too good to be true.... (fill in the blank).

I feel the same way, my little brother bought a xbox on there with some games at a bundle deal, this guy had over 5k pos feedback and 3 neg. Seems like a great company/person to buy from. Well to make it short, my friend put it on his visa through paypal. And my brother never got the xbox. The guy sold around 20k ps2's and xboxs. at the same time and emptyed out his account and all they said is he has no money in his account when he puts some in then he has to wait his turn to get the money. It has been about 8 months and still filing and stuff.

see trust nobody! its like statistics, they can be skewed to make anything look good. i could feasibly make up 20 fake references, its not hard. there is a risk with everything in life, unless you buy from a local dealer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
