How the H#ll do i seal these doors?

Sorry i haven't been replying, haven't had internet.

so basically yea, i'm not good enough to do door pods, although i would love them. Problem is i'm not good enough to seal that door either, lol.

To answer questions... The speaker attaches through the door panel, to the metal if that makes any sense. Sealing the door panel from the door will probably be the easiest way, and just deaden the back of the panel. I may do this, see how it sounds and them go from there.

The car, a 98 stratus, and kicks i might end up doing. i think i could manage those on my own. I've seen plenty of tutorials. Not too sure about door pods though, anyone got a link? It might be worth a shot if i don't have to tear the panel up to do it. My only problem with doing kicks is i'm not sure it would sound as good if i had kicks and nothing in the doors, but you all are the experts, not i.

My doors are the exact same way, 96 Talon. Completely hollow. I'm still thinking of how I'm going to do this. I was thinking of making a small sealed enclose and putting sound deadening in there. I'll get pics when my car comes back.

before you go sealing up everything or even wanting to id check to see what speakers u will be running. just because billy joe bob runs "x" speaker in a small sealed box doesnt mean every speaker has or needs to be. i have seen a ton of folks run their mids and highs really bad and the saddest part was the effort put into doing so

Well, someone down at dodge deserves a swift kick in the nuts...
With Dodge's history of doing stupid shit in their vehicles - battery locations, anyone? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif - it doesn't surprise me in the least.

IIR i will call chad tomorrow and ask, i'm just not sure they've had enough in-car testing to know exactly what they prefer. I know before he said they'd work fine IB, cause that was my main concern.

UPDATE: Chad says the components were designed with IB/free air in mind, so they should work just fine.

Now i'm going to just try to seal the door panel to the door, i will still deaden the door, and panel, but without having to cover that huge hole.
