How old where you when you learned to drive?

been driving since I was 14...learned on my dad's '91 F-150, 5spd, 4wd...it had 150K on the original clutch and transmission when I started with it, let's just say, we didn't get along for a while - especially when my dad would make me parallel park it on a hill, in traffic. The upside was, by the time I took driver's ed when I was 15, I could drive that Intrepid like it was my job //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif my instructor kicked ass, those were the days...

In spite of that, I miss driving a manual...there's something about putting your foot down, going up an onramp in high 3rd, shifting to 4th, and going up to 5th while the music's blaring that you miss in an auto. I guess I liked that sense of control it gave me.

I started driving when I was 7 on a 1982 3/4ton 360, 4spd Dodge truck. First time taking the wheel sitting on Dad's knee was when I was 4. Never drove an automatic until I was 15. The joy of growing up in the middle of nowhere on a farm.

I started driving my friends cars around at age 13 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Though, I have no idea what your link is......it says you have to be a comcast customer to view it.

I drove at my age (15) couple of months back I Learned how to drive my car. I drove standard before I drove automatic. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I first started learning to drive when i was 4-5 of course, i never used the clutch in my dads 87 ford thunderbird twin turbo, since i couldnt reach it

but yea growing up in the middle of nowhere on a farm has many perks

November of '03... @ 19 yrs old

Funny how a month later I joined CA.com.

That article let me down...cause he hit cars in the process:

The car turned into the boy?s apartment complex and struck two parked cars, then backed up and struck Osga?s police car.
No charges will be filed against the boy or his mother, Heugel said.
Not fair!!!!
