Theres a trick, if you submerge the polyfill in water, then put it in the box while still wet, not dripping wet, but obviously wet to the touch, it helps out alot! I've done it quite a few times, always works.

It's the smartass answers like this that make people think this forums a total joke and don't do anything to actually help anyone out.

The common formula is 1lb per cu ft makes the sub think the box has increased in size by 10%.

So your sub would think the 5 cu ft box is 5.5 cu ft.

Does anyone know the mechanism for the reason polyfill accomplishes the 10% increase?
