How much would you pay for 2 12" Kicker L7s?

Just as the title says... how much would you pay for 2 12" Kicker L7s? I am asking because there is a guy selling his 2 L7s locally. His ad says "2 12" Kicker L7 Subs in box w/ Kicker KX1200.1 Amp - $500.00". I already emailed him and he told me to make him an offer for the subs and box alone and I'm clueless. lol... He told me that the dimensions of the box is "29" L x 15" D x 11" H". That sounds pretty small for 2 L7s. Both subwoofers DO work. He's selling them because he got a new car and needs money. I started to also think that it may seem like a "downgrade" from my current setup, but I'm not sure.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that he said, "Not sure of the model year, they are the all black style." So they are the 2006 I'm guessing.

That's what I said to myself. lol... I shouldv'e emailed him asking him about that. Never know, he couldv'e had the subs facing up and measured the box that way, since that's what he's used to.

They're nice... I enjoy the lows the vibrate the bottom of my seat. I'm sure that they would be louder if the boxes I made for them weren't so big. I made individual boxes for each woofer at the size of 24" W x 18" H x 12" D, so side-by-side they come out to 48" wide which looks like it corks my trunk, limiting the sound (they're facing my tail lights).

yeah when i got the car i saw there was only 14" of clearance in height, so i got the 12"s but now that i think about it i could face the subs up and only have it comming as far as the mounting depth needs to go, but yea i was thinkin about gettin 15" l7s u shud definatly check em out if their local!

I'd pay 12 red skittles and the lint in my pocket.

Seriously though, I'd say around $200-$250 for the subs. Wouldn't buy the box though, because it sounds way to small. Put them in a nice size ported box and it should be a pretty nice increase in output over the cvrs. They're not really SQ drivers, but with the right install they can sound good.

Yeah, I was thinking about $200. I was going to offer him $200 with the box since it's the winter now and I don't really feel like building a box. I could use the box temporarily.

Sorry, didn't answer the question. If he payed you $50 then they should be worth it. Paying him for L7's would be ridiculous.
