How much wire do I need?

Hello guys, I was just curious approximately how many feet of wire I will need for my car. It is just an average car and I want to put a kinetik battery in the trunk. Does that mean I have to run both positive and negative from my battery up front to the Kinetik battery in the back.. then the positive from the kinetik to my amp? I am new to this and a little confused. So if you could just give me an idea on how many feet I would need it would help a lot.

Thanks, I apprecaite it!

no, you dont need to run a positive and negative to the back. just run a positive and find a good ground by the battery like you would for an amp. then you would run wires from the battery in the back, to your amp (pos, neg.) just to be safe i would get about 25' of 0 gauge. you should have some left over.

Thanks norrizzle, do you think the Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge wire would be fine for the 1500d MB Quart amp? I plan on running it at 1 ohm for 1500 watts RMS.

I am new to all of this and just want to order everything I need to get my speakers up and working. I have 2 L5 12" 4 ohm speakers I want to wire to 1 ohm. I ordered a MB Quart 1500 amp.

I am trying to figure out the best box to get for them. What wire I need. And just what other random stuff will I need lke the fuse holder and fuse? I wasn't sure if I needed something else since I was going to be using the kinetik battery or not.

Thanks

yupp no problem, knukonceptz is very good wire, 1/0 is plenty for 1500 watts, but its good just incase you decide to upgrade. yes you will need the fuse holder and fuse. you are guna need to put that inline fuse within 12" of the batteries +. depending on the ratings of the amp (the numbers on the fuse) thats the size fuse you will have to get for the fuse holder. for example, if its 4x25 amp fuses in the amp then you would get 1 100amp fuse for the fuse block. get a custom made box for the specs of L5's. the box is the most important part of the build. do NOT cheap out on this what so ever. not trying to scare ya lol, but its the truth. have someone on here make you a box, just post a "wanted" thread and a bunch of ppl on here would be more then happy to take care of you. good luck with everything hit me up if u need any help.

Thanks, you have been a lot of help. Will I need two fuse holders then since I want to put my kinetik battery in the back and that would be about 10 feet away from my main battery? I would like to use ring terminals I think since they are cheaper? I don't know how many I will need though. I looked up the amp and it is 70 x 2 so i think I will need a 150 amp fuse. I think I will just get one of the wiring kits from knukonceptz and add another 5-10 feet of wire just in case I need it for something.

And I appreciate the advice on the box. I kind of want to get 2 single boxes so if I put them in my Jeep instead of my car I can just turn them over and have the vent on the bottom instead of side. Any idea what hz I would need?

yes you will need 2 fuse holders at 150 amps each. great idea, just buy the kit along with an extra fuse holder(buy it off ebay its much cheaper, you can get knock off it dont really matter.) i think the kit would be perfect from battery to battery. i couldnt really tell you EXACTLY how much wire you need but i would rather have extra than be short. plus, if u have extra you can do the BIG 3 with it. ring terminals are cheaper but are harder to work with. you need a blow torch and solder. as a rookie i think you should start with the regular battery terminal where the wire just fits into the hole and u tighten it down.
