how much will this help?

i'm running an orion 2500D on two RE SX 12. I kinda did the step of running wire from the speaker to the terminal cup quick, because i wanted to have it done. So i have 18ga wire from the VC to the terminal cup.

If i bought some female connectors that accept 12ga, and ran that, would it make much of a difference?

also, my battery is still stock up front, and a hc2400 in the rear. i don't have a DMM so i probably can't get an answer, but how much will it help when i put the yellow top under the hood?

i really would have liked to do that, but i found a great deal on a yellow top.

a total cost of the yellow top and hc2400 was $230. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif i had some 16g for my orion 2500d and it actually burnt up the connections. its not a performance issue, its an issue of proper wire size. get 10ga

it's just a matter of patience and looking for the deals.

also, i think the 2500d only accepts 12 ga speaker wire @ max. which is what i have running from terminal to amp. but inside the box is 18 ga. probably not good, and i think i'll end up running 10 or 12 inside the box too.

iin any system espechially over 1000w i dont use terminal cups in the box. i drill holes in the box and run at least 10ga out the box and seal the wholes with silicone, so it's a stright run of wire from the amp to the speakers.

allso any batt under the hood will help.
