I heard it is underrated. Something like 2200-2300@ 1ohm. Just wondering how much this thing would do at .6 ohm? 1.2 DVC subwoofer....
I have read people running them at .5 ohm with no problem but I would much rather run my sub at 2 ohm and save stress on my amp. I'm looking at the audiopipe 3000 which i think is rated at 3000 rms @ 2 ohm.Umm, I dont know how well that amp will like .6ohm..I know you might be counting on rise, but dont count on that to save your amp
im sure .5 is possible with outstanding electrical, but the MBQ just doesnt seem beefy enough to be a .5 daily amp. At 2ohm, the amp wouldnt break a sweat. The Ap is a good choice if you want a 2ohm load as I believe it isnt 1ohm stable. Its supposed to be 2 1500s strapped in a heat sink essentiallyI have read people running them at .5 ohm with no problem but I would much rather run my sub at 2 ohm and save stress on my amp. The mb quart wouldn't give me nearly enough power at 2 ohm. I need 3000 watts at .6 or 2.something ohm. I am looking at the audiopipe hard but i dunno where to get a good used one.im sure .5 is possible with outstanding electrical, but the MBQ just doesnt seem beefy enough to be a .5 daily amp.
