i decided I'm going to sound deaden my 2 front doors and all of my trunk space with Second Skin in my 99 Honda Accord. The way they sell it on their website is I can buy either 40sq ft for 98.98, or 80 sq ft for 193.98. I don't want to undercut myself with sq ft but I also don't feel like paying 193.98 for 80 sq ft...which one would you guys go with? be risky and try 40sq ft. or save more money and buy the 80 sq ft?

If I go with 40 sq ft. I would deaden my front 2 doors first, then do my trunk with whats left

with 80 sq ft i would deaden both the front 2 doors, trunk, then go through the hassle of selling what I do not need.

I just don't know what to do haha

OP, to give you a rough estimate, 10 sq ft will cover one layer on the entire hood of your vehicle..I had a 6th gen myself ('01 sedan). I would recommend 2 layers on the inner portion of the door (behind where the speakers go) and at least one on the outer portion of the door (where the speaker is mounted). I would recommend going with 80 sq. ft. if doing the front doors and the trunk.

I did my trunk lid with 2 layers of Damplifier and about 4 layers of Spectrum. The remainder of the trunk had about 3 thick layers of Spectrum (mixed with water). Made it SO much easier and quicker. I'd also make sure you get the rear deck (both the top and bottom portion) take care of as well. Fill in the rear quarter panels from inside the trunk with expanding foam. I have a thread titled something like "donpisto's '01 Accord". Search for it and you'll find lots of pictures including deadening pics. You can get several ideas from there as well. PM me if you have any questions.
