How much sound quality loss with stock headunit and RCA converter

I have a 2008 avalanche with the stock CD player in it at the moment. I also have a factory navigation unit uninstalled. If the factory navigation would pop in and work I would leave the system stock but it does not have an internal amplifier. For this reason I have to add the factory bose amp (Which I can get cheap) or go with one or two of a few Crossfire amplifiers I have lying around from my old car that was totaled. While I would prefer to have the factory navigation unit for fitment and stock look I realize I am giving up various advantages of an aftermarket head unit. My biggest question is if I go with my crossfire amplifiers, how much loss in sound quality will I have compared to a aftermarket navigation with built in rca outputs as opposed to using a hi to rca adapter? Thanks for the input.

I just posted a thread in the "General" forum about me having the same issue(sort of the same, atleast), so check it out if you don't get much help here. The topic is 'So confused.' Good luck man!

BTW, I'm not trying to jack your thread!
