How much power will I need for RF T40001bd

I have a RF T40001BD and plan on running it at 1ohm in my 2000 Toyota 4runner I have contacted a few companies about HO alternators and I need to know what you guys think will work the best. Also how many batteries will I need to run it without voltage problems. Im looking at either the Powermaster 3100 or Kinetik HC2400, how many should I purchase?

Heres my options so far on HO alts:

Boss Load

170amp- $220

Excessive Amperage

200amp- $265

250amp- $290 (needs a modified bracket)

Powermaster

with a 200 amp alt i would run at least 2 3100's. As usual, watch that voltage.

i really doubt it..... but you never know. You might be able to get away with 1 batt, then just order another one if you need it.

I run a voltage meter off my amps input ever since I saw a 1000+$ amp go up in smoke due to a loose ring terminal at a battery in the back.

kinetick says use at least the rms wattage the same as the battery,so get at least 2 2400s with a 200 amp alt

sounds good, i did not know that, how about any guidlines on the powermasters? i hear they are better than the kinetiks?

its suppose to be better if all the batts are grounded together also. i never tried it though.

get rid of the red top, and you dont have to run dual 0 gauge to the rear

Well I have it, i thought I mine as well use it. specially incase I choose to upgrade batts. What would you recomend me put i the front for a batt?

a kinetick 1400 or 1800, $150......$180..last a yellowtop about $140
