How much power is to much for a 12" Type-r??

they've gotta be gettin decently loud off that anyways, sounds like a good setup.

Its only 1 12" It gets pretty loud. I wish I had enough power for 2

well, if u got another one, it'd be 1 ohm.....

2 on 600w a piece would be louder than 1 on 800

If I do that I would need to def upgrade my electrical:crap: Only have 5 ga power wire.

that sub will take 1000RMS daily without a problem.. some people are running them on 1500RMS
do some searchin though man, you will find that answer very simple... it gets asked about 4 times a week or more

ME= BX1500d powering type r 12 for 2 weeks no problems.

Bx1500d = around 1400 rms.

Any sub can handle any amp. It all depends on the setting of the gain and the setting of the volume. You can run a Funky Pup off a MD2 if you know what you are doing.

talk to gmonk then. he had 3 tcabs with 3 15'' type R's powered by the bxi 1606d. he had many problems.

i dont keep up with type r's so you addressing two different power handlings for the 12" and 15" means they use different motors? Iono im gueesing they do because if they used the same motor they would have the same power handling.
