How much power can you throw a 18Xxx Daily In an undersized box?

could be it but I bought it "used" dunno if it was powered or not tho

I ran mine on a 2100 watt amp daily. 7 ft^3, tuned to 32 Hz. Never once smelled the voice coil, but I knew when enough was enough. . .

I did an install with (2) XXX 18 on a pair of BX2200D amps. You can smell the coils often, but this guy listens to rap that is almost like listening to test tones. Funny thing is that this guy has killed every system that he has ever had installed. The first night I installed it, the guy drove to northern OK (we are in Dallas) with it wide open because he wanted to se if it was going to "hold up". These XXX 18's are still going strong and it has been over a year of non-stop full volume!
