how much port length and port area for 12" MAG?

meh, guess they don't. I have my 15" in a 3cu. ported box tuned to 30hz. Port area is 36sq. in. and length is around 13(?), not too sure about that. And it sounds fine to me.

put the 12"er in 2.25ft^3 tuned to 32-33hz with 25-30in^2 of port.

area. Depending on how you make your port(13x2 or 5x5 for example), is going to affect your length. The more square you get, the shorter it needs to be compared to something more rectangular.

sorry im really lost. im using the http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html

my width is 40

hieght is 14

boths depths are 13.75

wood thickness is .75

and i want to tune about 33 hz

if somebody could tell me what to fill in for the port width and port length 2, i would really be thankful. im somewhat confused .............

and if u want to make box smaller could u take away from the depth.......
