How much louder?

Hey im new to the board i dont know all that much about car audio but im not brain dead about it

Basically All I want is loud.....Because I listen to distubed and like metallica stuff really loud and some other stuff with little bass i dont listen to rap hardly

I drive a 97 chevy 1500 so i only have a little room behind the seats for stuff

Right now I have a Alpine amp 250watts i think 40rms going to each speaker i forget what the specs of the amp are and I have a pair of poineer Ts-A6961R's in boxes behind my seats.....I mean they get pretty loud where like you cant hear other things out side of my truck....But it terms of just loudness can speakers really get that much louder with out sounding like crap....would just adding more speakers make more noise or higher watt speakers with bigger amp?

adding more speakers to that would just make things worste....get a good set of components up front and and it will be loud enough

If you are wanting "loud"....get a good quality component set for the front with a relatively high power amplifier (100w per channel or more).

Id say the same as the others..

get a killer set of comps for the front & a more powerfull amp..

whats the bugget for comps?

Image Dynamics,Dynaudio,Alpine SPX177R's,the RE comps..

list gose on & on..

Keep reading the forum Im sure you will find info on some killer comps that are in your range..

I dont think music style matters its the install, tuning & Quality of the gear

if your on a budget find some powerbass es comps sound great and get loud you will need a decent amp though. you can find them on ebay for real cheap

Also, as much as a pain in the *** as it is, following the door sound deadening sticky will make it sound tons better at the same time, if that matters at all.
