how much louder is port?

hey waht up

right now i have a 12w7 with a sealed box and a jbl 1200.1 amp. i am porting the sub. fromw aht i learned, it will put out 3 more dbs. how much SQ do i lose?? is it worth it?

tune around 30 and u wont notice a loss in SQ or u will notice an increase in SPL

Its worth it. Only reason i dont have a ported box is because of space. Its 100 percent worth it. Low tuning will give you a louder setup, same sound quality, some argue it to be better.

yea, i love ported over sealed and tuned low it does have good sq, and if im correct a 10 db increase is a double in loudness to the ear so 3 dbs is about a third louder right?

eyah i think its something liek that.... something about 3 db is like 2x as loud to the ear n 9db is 2x louder to the body.. is that right??
