How much is not enough for 2 15" CompVR's?

I have 2 15" CompVR's on the way and I'm trying to find an enclosure for them. I'd like to follow kicker's reccomendations, but I can't seem to find a box with a lot of internal volume for 2 15's. I'm goin with a sealed enclosure for now, so what should be the bare minimum on space for these subs? Any input will leave me more informed than I already am, so post away!

1.8 cu.ft is smallest recc for the 15

I'd get a box built for me if I had the cash, but I'm on a tight budget. I'm looking into a sealed box with about 2.75 cubic feet per sub, cause I think these subs would still hit deep even in a small box, but I really need them to kick too, cause I listen to a lot of rap and drum + bass, but I listen to lots of metal, and other stuff with lots of repeated kick bass. I really want to get a huge plexi box tuned to about 38Hz, but I can't afford one for a while. Being 19 with a reckless driving on your record doesn't leave comp. insurance very cheap.

my only suggestion is make sure the box will fit in your trunk through the opening (your trunk may be bigger on the inside than it is in the opening like mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i built a 6.5 cubic foot box that wouldnt FIT because of the awkward trunk opening, needless to say i learned my lesson the hard way and this box will probably be on ebay soon heh i've now got a ~4.4 cube box in there now.. *****) or through the back seat if they fold down...........

Originally posted by Jmac 1.8 ft^3 for a 15" ? I think you might want to look into getting someone to make a box for you and try to get the largest possible one in there ... Shared airspace is a great way to save space and get a flatter response if space is an issue ...

Almost no pre-fabricated boxes are available over 2.5 ft^3/chamber, so a custom made box would probably be your best bet.
Ya 1.8 cft for a 15 , Its recc by kicker What are they wrong ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Yeah, I looked at speakerhole, and they have good prices and look like they build strong boxes, but the boxes look like ****. They have the overhanging pieces of MDF/Particle Board on the end that look kinda retarded.
