How much is a 13W7 recone, can i get a kit?

neverming they use a 3 inch coil. The 8W7 uses a 2.25-inch diameter coil (2.0-inch winding height), the 10W7 uses a 2.75-inch diameter coil (2.3-inch winding height), the 12W7 employs a 3-inch unit (2.8-inch winding height) and the 13W7 enters battle with a 3.55

ill go measure it but i think your all wrong its bigger than 3"

i heard jl want $400+ for them to recone. a w7 uses really cheap parts and the whole woofer brand new isnt worth a recone. dave dose great work but it will never be a spl sub and that motor will never like 2500rms.

ur best bet pratt would be to try and sell it blown, i know it's sad...

JL wanted 500 to recone my blown W7. Now i have a 13.5 W7 and i cracked the "dust cap?". Should i just pull the "dust cap" off? Any1 know where ican buy a replacement?

W7's have more excursion than almost any woofer of the same size... Are they worth the money? I don't think so, but ffs, if you mechanically peaked it out, not much else would have stood up to that abuse. Maybe you should get a cheaper hobby, like fishing.
If you honestly spiked it, you won't find many 12's that can take more...... I'd assume you're correct that the box wasn't sealed correctly, and poor box = poor dampening, so it shredded it.

/edit, you'd need pics and pressure tests to check the box, but still, few speakers will move as far as a w7, so i'm not sure what you're looking for
ha I wish that was a cheap hobby:wow:
