How much fiberglass and resin

I'm about to order my fiberglass and resin from UScomposites and I was thinking that 2 gallons resin and 10 yards by 38" 1.5oz fiberglass matt should be enough to do my two kickpanel enclosures and a 1.4 ft^3 spare tire well enclosure. The top of the enclosure will be MDF so only the shell inside the spare tire well will be fiberglass and will house one 12" sub with about 300 watts going to it. Was going to do 5 or 6 layers.

Does this sound like enough fiberglass and resin for this project?

Sounds as good a guess as any. You really won't know until you start laying it up how many layers it'll take to make your spare tire well feel solid. I did that ages ago and I do recall it took a bit more than I planned, but then again it was the spare tire well in a 1980 Lincoln Town Car which is pretty big.

Get more than you think you'll need then you will have plenty to play with AND save for later for possible fracture repair, heaven forbid! ;-)

Judge my suggestion! I should have gotten more Damplifier Pro! Like fiberglass mat you use up a ton of that stuff!

I've found IN MY EXPERIENCE that common sense is not nearly as common as it's purported to be, often! I said I wished I'd gotten more Damplifier Pro. Luckily I'd bought some BQuiet. Not nearly as good as Damplifier Pro but certainly better than nothing.
