Over the years Ive seen a lot of speculation on this, and Ive seen the $35k figure passed around a lot, but Ive yet to see anyone substantiate their claims with any evidence what so ever.

There are plenty of online calucators to get a close average. The average seems to be some where between 30-40k per year if you trust the accuracy of calculators, which is open to interpretation.
