...would it would it make on my subs going from a factory stereo using an inline converter to an aftermarket cd player(avh 4000). I ask cuz im bout to get it hooked up this weekend and am hoping for a big improvement in bass. A lot of people tell me it'll be a huge difference, but I dont wanna get overly excited then get let down when i go to turn it up.

no. he wants to know if it will be better to remove the factory head unit, currently usning a line driver to get a signal to his amp......to a aftermarket cd player, using regular interconnects.

LOC work really well. IMO, sometimes it's better than buying a new HU, especially if you're doing a small build.

naw.. i went with my original subs and amp with my stock deck to aftermarket and aftermarket was a hugggge difference..... in loudeness not so much, but sound quality huge...

It will definitely have more output and sound better... Don't hype it up for disappointment though.
