Hi I'm about to come home from overseas and im building my system for my G35 sedan, which i have another thread on.

I'm trying to figure out how much deadener im actually going to need, do I need to totally cover panels or just part of them? How much do I actually need for my door speakers?

I'm planning on using Audio Technix 60.

And I have been reading about filling gaps with foam? I see mixed reviews on it, anybody use it on a G35 before?

Thank you!

If you're set on using AT, then , yes , you will need to try to totally cover all panels.

Have you contacted Don at Sound Deadener Showdown for a quote? Only have to cover around 25% of panels with his CDT tiles....

Roughly 6-12 sq ft should get the job done. Just depends on how far you want to take it. You will see nice results with 1 sheet per door. I would suggest cutting the sheet in half. Then install the first half directly behind the speaker and the other around the speaker cut out. If you want to deaden the whole door start with 2 sheets per door and go from there. 2 sheets will be plenty for the trunk lid. A sheet is 12" x 24" (2 sq ft).

I had pretty good results with my Audio Technix. I still need to do my rear dash, roof and find a few other noises Iv got. But overall I was pretty happy with it. The only thing I wish I would have done different was have some self control and not do it in the upper 90's, but it wasnt to bad. Id suggest waiting until cooler weather, if you can. Best of luck!

Im a little confused with your pricing, I'm a jarhead so its prlly just me, but your sig says 2.40 sq ft, your website seems to be higher?
