How much can Type R 6.5" coaxials handle?

Not meaning to highjack but I just had a simple question....So with my Pioneer Revs it would be ok to give them around 100 watts RMS as long as I keep the HPF on and cut out all the lows right???

And set your gains properly!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

In most cases it is too little power that damages speakers from clipping and distortion produced by over driving the amp. Granted, it is quite possible to destroy speakers by giving them too much power too if you don't pay attention to the signs of distress. Regardless, I would rather run too much power than not enough!
