How much am I supposed to expect my install job to cost me?

I don't want to get robbed. I need a head unit installed, component set in front, amp for components, sub and amp in trunk, both doors dampened and trunk dampened. I have everything but the deadining material. What would be a good ball park figure?

Have them install the head unit. You can do everything else pretty easily.

if you find a nice shop you could mayby get away with paying that much for everything installed, but i doubt it...

its really not that hard installing all that stuff, honistly the hardest thing installing equipment is actually having to run the wires through door jams + firewall + under carpet... everything else is simply plug and play

go to different shops and price it out. people on here cant give you a price, because a lot of them dont work at a shop.

I'd say $250-$300 not including damping materials but including all other materials. Get quotes from various shops.

I think you're making a great choice getting a pro onboard - install quality will make or break good equipment for sound quality. Sure it's not hard to figure it out but there's a lot to be said for experience when it comes to getting the most out of your gear.

Be sure you get a quality shop tho - the big boxe stores usually have inexperienced installers.
