Let me design you a box, that one is no where near optimal.

That might be the best it will do it its a dual 4 cause it will be getting only 250 watts on the high side

Sorry had to actually do some work here at work. My best guess is that you have a dual voice coil 4ohms per voice coil subwoofer however you're subwoofer is not clear. Heres the deal: If your sub is what I think it is a DVC 4ohm, then you cannot bridge it (use both channels) you can only use 1 channel meaning you can only send it 250watts, this wont be very loud. If you are lucky and it is a dual 2 ohm voice coil sub, then you can wire it to 4ohms and use the amplifier bridged which will send it 500watts which will power it nicely. I doubt this is the case though you probally need to get an amp that is mono and can do 500watts rms at 2 ohms or a 2 channel that is stable bridged at 2 ohms, yours is only stable at 4 ohms.

If its Dual 2 you can bridge the amp and get the most power.. If it is Dual 4 you cant.. You need to set the gain correctly, whats going to happen is you will keep turning it up and bass boost up to try to make power that isnt there to be made. Its going to get a bit louder for the simple fact distortion is louder. But what did I say about distortion?

Ya i know already posted a thread some what similar im just kind of disapointed in this system but i guess i should have done more research or asked you guys first. So how much you think i could sell this **** for lol. and what would you all recommend i get in the 500 price range?

Much better.. But you will have to keep your nose open cause it will overpower it. Set your gain to 400 watts and it will get loud, the next thing would be changing that box.

What do the rest of you think.. Anything of the same quality as the alpine for cheaper?
