How Loud is Loud to yall???

Originally posted by SPLSTOMPIN Ive been reading alot of your posts and have come to the conclusion that alot of the pople on here think 140 dB to145 dB is loud? ARE YOU JOKING ME?!?!?! I HAD 2 12's in my car running off of 1 1000D and hit a 150.9 outlaw!
That's outlaw though. We're talking about DASH numbers. Who cares about outlaw. Are you gonna stick your head in the port while you listen to it?

So you could sit in a car listening to 140-145dB all day and think it wasn't loud? 140dB isn't the highest that anyone has hit in this forum.

Oh and what 12's were you using?

Yuh...where was the mic placed?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Put that system on a LinX mic and it would cry...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But whats loud to me is the upper 160's and 170's that scare the **** out of you when they are in the lanes and all of a sudden decide to burp when you arent ready for it.

He said outlaw so i'm assuming it's at the port, if he even has a ported box. 150 at the port isn't that spectacular.

LOL...outlaw...that is a joke. Meet the Linear X buddy;)

Originally posted by tommyk90 I wonder what RangerMan would hit in the port. Seeing as he hit's 140 on the dash i could only imagine the port.
EDIT: Outlaw, who cares about outlaw. Your not gonna listen to your stereo with your head in the port, so who gives a **** about outlaw. Stick the mic behind my seats and i'd prolly hit 140 with my 2 little 10's getting 125 a piece. Outlaw......bah.

Originally posted by RangerMan I thought about doing outlaw, but then i realized...whats the point?
The number will make you feel a hell of a lot better after coming off that LinX lol:D

Hell, thats it! People who have unbelievable numbers...say they got it metered on a circuit...probably did it through Outlaw:D

Exactly. What is the point? It's not like your actually gonna hear that number on a daily basis. Dash is what counts. F*ck outlaw, f*ck it to hell. By the way, that score on a linX is badass. That guy was probably using some radio shack dB meter. Hmmm, he hasn't seemed to post again.

when my eyes start twitchin' and my hands involuntarily reach for either the remote or the volume button, that's loud enough to me... I believe it was about 125dB...

Oh, and this outlaw thing.. NOW I know what it is... cause sometimes, some ads would state that their subs reached 170dB outlaw...

and for anyone who tries to say anything......................an audio control meter on one of the stiffest meters..............pretty much only second to a B&K so kiss my @ss .
