How loud can my sub go? Any signs?

I'm running a single Pioneer 12" 400wRMS at 2 ohms. It's in a sealed box, and if I crank it up it goes crazily loud, since my car is small.

I'm wondering if it's possible to blow up the sub going too low, when running it at 400wRMS? Are there any signs, I've heard of clipping, etc, but so far nothing has gone wrong, so does that mean I can just turn it up more? lol

I'm just asking because it's nearly impossible to hear distortion in subs..

In a sealed I wouldnt worry about it. They're very forgiving. Word to your fathers mother.

those subs can take a beating. I had those in one of my first instal and was clipping my amp to hell with bb at +6db gain at max .... they were smelling shit even if sealed lol but i stil have one of those in working condition somewhere.
