what do you have against making the box wide and not deep? I've seen that kind of trunk, you'd be able to have more usable space if you make the box wide and push it back to the backseats. Then have the sub and port facing the trunk lid. But to each their own I guess

I wouldn't mind doing that, but their are holes there that aren't very large, so it some of the waves would be going directly into the cabin and others would be bouncing back immediately and it seems to me that would sound bad.

I never haul shit in my trunk to begin with, only the miscellaneous groceries and as a 22 year old male, that's not usually much.
