Oh, no! Watch out, because with every single thread on this topic, there will eventually be 15 people telling you that break in isn't real. That said, after you've played the sub for 4-6 hours or so, you should be good to go. Depending on the brand(I don't know about Obsidian), the subs might already be partly broken in from quality control testing.

 
If you want to be safe hook up your sub but leave it free air and play it on some low power @ 20hz for like an hour and it will loosen up the suspension just fine. IMO, I would just give it full power right now. Those subs use good enough soft parts to not cause any issues.
