how is the xxx compared to L7 ?

don't know about the xxx, but i have two l7 15s hooked up to 2 kicker 600 mono amps running at 1 ohm in a ported box.They beat the hell out of my trunk.I can't listen to very loud for long because it hurts.They broke the symbol of my trunk and knocked of a light cover in my car.I love them

A properly installed XXX should do the same thing and sound clearer. We are talking about the old model right?

2 15 l7's vs 1 15 xxx? id think the l 7's would have the advantage there. setting up for sq or spl there are trade offs. seen some really good numbers put up in spl with l7's (meca and db drag) but also do really good in sq when set up as such. just depends on what you want to do. kicker subs get over looked alot because they are mainstream. the re subs are nice too but it all depends on set up and power.

ok but these are 12" l7's not 15"s ... also you think the L7's would take an 15" RE MT , sorry i just got alot of offers on subs and i want to pick the best route

L7s, again, get a GOOD box for them, you can make L7s sound amazing and you can make them sound like complete crap. 2 12" L7s get loud though, very loud.

It depends on power/box/car/etc. But I think the two L7s would have the potential to beating a 15" MT. The MT also has potential to beat the L7s, but as a daily driver and not for competing, hit the kickers up.

depends on what you're going for. the room you have, and if you have the money. the cheaper route would be the L7s, but if you had the cash, take the xxx. ported and tuned right, it'd beat the L7s. it's really a close call too seeing as how kicker changed the L7 so there's alot of differences between the past and present, and same goes for the xxx.

You cannot compare the XXX to an L7, the L7 is an everyday woofer, the XXX is a high end SPL sub. The XXX with the right power would bury the L7
