How is Infinity for home?

I know you guys are either gonna laugh at me or get mad since ya'll talkin about custom speakers or speakers that cost in the thousands... I was plannin on gettin a reciever(not sure which one yet) and a set of these http://www.crutchfield.com/S-cZtSZP341p7/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=12000&I=700P250 and a set of these http://www.crutchfield.com/S-cZtSZP341p7/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=37900&I=700P150 and then get my own amp sub combo in there. but that means I will only have 4 highs 6 mids and a sub will that be enough highs or will the bass drown it out

I have a pair of the 150's...nice lil speakers considering their price and size....

what sub and amp are you gonna "combo in there" cuz cant answer if the bass will drown out your highs....

but I doubt thebass will drown them out because of your room is alot bigger than your car/truck and thatd be alot easier to drown out highs b/c of size constraints

I honestly havent figured it out yet. Prolly a 15in titanic,rlp,av. There is a 100watt powered sub from infinity that goes in the set but 100 watts aint cuttin it for me. More power (home Improvement grunt)

get some CV speakers, best that I have ever owned. I've got the RE30s.

I'm not a big fan of Infinity...their tweets sound way too harsh for my ears, and they tend to inflate their sensitivity ratings.

niles audio or monitor are straight pimpin. for recievers i would use a denon. the best for the money imo. are you looking for in-wall/in-ceiling speakers? or do you just want plain jane bookshelfs or satelites or towers? for the sub, i would look into a velodyne. just got the SPL1200 from them, sweet sounding sub. sealed box, 1000 watt amp, microphone for auto bass eq, and other really cool stuff.

i was thinkin a set of floor standing and a set of bookselfs but nothin too high end its just goin in my small room. no in wall speakers. Thanks for all the help (I have never heard of these names but am going to look into them) keep the suggestions commin. by looking at some of these sites looks like I'll be building the houses for my speakers. Is there companies that have good stuff with the housing built for a good price. ( I am a broke college student livin with my parents)
