How important are thw quality of RCA's from hu to amp?

it's not as important as some would like you too belive. I've ran cheapo ones and the super expensive ones and I can't tell the difference. Other will swear they can hear a 1db reduction in noise. You should just get the ones you want and call it a day.

in the car i bought there were 3 sets of rca's ran. there were 2 sets of stinger expert (retail for like 100 bucks or something like that ) and 1 set of rockford fosgates from one of their 4 gauge amp kits. there is definitely a difference from the stingers to the fosgates, fosgates are pretty noisy. theres a background noise between songs and alt whine, where the stingers there is none of that.

now i recently decided to replace the fosgates with some knukonceptz (like 20 a pair) and then didnt like that they all didnt match so i bought 2 more from knu and there is no noise whatsover and are just as good as the 100 dollar sets from stinger.

moral of the story, go with something quality thats middle of the road.

There was a test a while ago Ive seen linked quite a few times if you search.

They did a blind test, were an "audiophile" was tested to hear the audible difference between a very expensive set of rcas VS and coat hanger. He couldnt tell the difference....

QUALITY build, as in reliability, may differ. But Ive never heard of anyone being able to tell a difference with properly working rcas.

Personally, I go with the Knu Krystal rcas and splitters, for $7.99, there great build quality, good thick sturdy insulation. Go with those
