The no disc error means your hard drive is dead.
Buy another one and install your operating system and save yourself about $600 from what a decent laptop would set you back.

How sure are you of that?

What is the exact error 'Non System Disk Error' or something like that?

A disk read error occurred... But now im on my PC again. i thought my HDD was dead but apparently its not. when i turned it on again it said Floppy failed (40) went in BIOS and disabled floppy and it booted right up.. it didnt give me the disk read error again. i'm so ****ing lost.
