how good is FI BTL, and how can i mod my amp?

Hey all

im was originally looking into an FI Q but i want to give it 2000w. I was told to look into the BTL since the rms is 2000w. Does anyone know anything about these subs? I'm looking for spl, but on a daily basis too. Another thing is, their config is only dual 1 or dual 2. If i get 1 12 i would need dual 2, but my amp isnt 1 ohm stable. Does anyone know if i can mod my memphis 16-MC2000d to 1 ohm?

I would appreciate any help.

get a dual 1 and wire it to 2 ohms

dont mod amps you run daily..especially a memphis amp

Get the coils you need for the amp

and yes the btl is a good choice for your application and with 2000 watts you wouldnt need to order a btl with many options for it to handle that power and you can order the "daily version" from fi. its right on the order page with the options

modding amps works great for comps and burps....daily is a WHOLE another story........

hey dude i got a better idea. i'll trade you one of your l7's (plus a little cash n your part) for my m3 mojo 12" and you can run 1500+ from your amp at 4 ohms and have a full memphis system. I can come do the trade whenever since we live so close

The bl would be reaching its limits with that much power. It would be Safer to run the btl with 2k.
