How far can i push a 12" kicker L7

Woah wait a minute no one said L7's were not beasts. If you treat the sub right and give it what it needs it will last just like any other sub. I run a 2005 L7 12" its a good sub and gets pretty fuking loud too.

From what i know...which isnt a hell of alot the L7's have a pretty decent BL as well..

Yea, but plus another 1 cu. ft. for the other second sub (which I didn't mention). I can go about a total of 9 cu. ft. for the 15" which should be enough. Just like I said before it'd be tight fit since thats all. I'd have increased the height of the box by about 3-4 inches. It should work though...

Well kicker recommends 1.75-3.25 cu. ft. for a ported enclosure. Would 2.25 cu. ft. or 3.25 make it pound harder?

if any part burns, it's the VC, which is too much power...a majority of whaty we see is people putting thousands of watts on a woofer with 750rms....and that wouldn't be a manufacture defect....yet powered properly, I've seen them last for years.........

that is why I like JL Audio, they tell you exactly the best range to run each sub... and what will *void warrenty*... every sub comes with a power rating sheet telling you exactly what u need to know... including box sizes

Point being, kickers L7 12 will do whatever you wish... if you like smooth bass, or loud as hell bass... they give you exact specs for all of it...

and I'm sorry to say but I agree with Sentra95... stupid people blow subs... you can't play a single sub with stupid amount of power... with it being a SOLOx, Old school Stroker, or whatever.. if it's tuned correctly with the amplifier @ the correct settings, you will not blow subs... I have had my OLD school Pioneer 10's since I was 16 and have yet to blow them... that's been 8 years now...

time for myh kicker experiences.

i have 2 12" 2004 series L7's....i have a viper 2500.1 on each....they last about 3 weeks of heavy bumping :-\ lets see...i tore the spider apart on one...unravelled a voice coil or 2...and thats it. other than that they've been good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and ive built TONS of boxes for these subs...and the box they are in now is the loudest one of them all....3.5 cubes PER SUB before sub and port displacement. doin 152 ont he termlab with 2 12's...i guess i can't complain.
