ok so here is what i have planned for my car in the near furture (when i get the money).

subs- 2 , 10" re se's ported with about 1.545 cubes tuned to ~38

amp- 1, hifonics Z1000D

HU- alpine CDA-9807

speakers-alpine sps-690A 6x9 3-way

how does this sound to u ? good, bad, fair.

Evertything except for the 6x9's... Go to crutchfield, order some 6x9 to 6.5" converters ($10 + S&H), and get some good 6.5s. Definitely go with the Alpine HU though.

well i can go with any size because the car has no speaker holes or anything i have to make em. it has one like 5x8(or somethin like that) under the passanger dash but thats getting covered. i was jus gonna get some 6x9's cuz i figured i could jus put em in a box and put em in the back. but i dunno?

Yeah, 6.5's give you better everything. The stock rear locations in my car used 6x9's, and the difference was crazy when I put 6.5's in. I shouldn't be using the stock locations but that's besides the point....

ok so im changing the above speakers i had to the alpine sps-170A 6 1/2" 2 way. hows that?

and i have to put them in a box so will that change the sound any?

That'll make 'em sound better than they would if they were free-air. Louder and clearer on less power.
