How does a amp divide power between subs?

Im working on a triple sub setup with 1 amp running 1 channel pushing all 3 subs. How does the amp keep from pushing one sub more then another?
As long as all the subs are the same impedence they will all get the same amount of power. If they are diffrent the sub with the least resistance will get more power than the others.

Well I plan on running 3 subs all with dual 2ohm coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel for a single 1.34 ohm load on a 1 ohm stable amp..I was just wondering..Thanks again guys.
