How do you tell your friend the music he's making sucks?

I know **** well I couldn't make anything better, so I don't bother. His music is this weird ambient shit..and really, goes nowhere. With most songs one can tell when it's going to end, or go "hey, this is good"...not so i this case.

He's kind of like Mr. Garrison in the 300 episode. He gets a kick on an interest and he's the most adamant person in the world about it. He has a history, and that shit is his life. And he's talking with the record business lingo, saying he's gonna make an EP cause he doesn't have enough for an LP or a full album. I guess EPs all have songs set around something. I don't know.

Sorry, all my friends kiss his *** with this stuff, and I honestly give it a meh. Had to vent.

But according to how he reacted to my friend..I would have effectively ruined his dreams, punched his mom, and then steal his girl.

Seriously, this kid is a ***** when it comes to negativity. I guess I should have mentioned that. I literally can't tell him, but he has to know it sucks.

It isn't some wannabe rip-off of bands like Pink Floyd, or he's trying to be spacey or trippy. It just doesn't go anywhere, doesn't feel like a song.

We dont need another John Denver (god bless his soul) running around encouraging emo-ism. Judging by your age, I presume he is the same age give or take some. Tell him the truth, tell him it sux and thats that. Life is real, dreams are just that, dreams. Tell him to wake up and smell the Gevalia. I am sure he will thank you in the long run. If you continue to encourage his sucky music making he may get stoned at his first performance.
