how do you reinforce the latch a hatchback

Double sided sticky tape/door seal strip foam.

That will work just double it up so backside backside sticks to the surface, and its CHEAP!

Yes, putting it on double sided/one the door, and the vehicle, shortens the gap for it to move, sealing the air gap/making it a tighter seal

It will still vibrate, but will help out alot,Only other way is to Deaden it out.IMO

Use alcohol to clean the surface before you put that on to clean the dirt and grime off.Alcohol cleans, and dries fast.Even in winter, for your windshield wiper fluid, pour a bottle in your resovour to keep from freezing, and still have the fluid to clean your winshield off.Dollar store alcohol works just fine.Alcohol doesnt freeze man, as propolynglycol also, and is biodegratable

dont put a whole bottle in. all you need is about 2 capfuls
