How do you Ground RCA's of the Head Unit???

take a ground wire and wedge it in the outer rim of the rca plug as you plug it in making sure not to touch the + lead on the rca.

i had to do that on a few pioneer decks that were really noisy for some reason.

All 6 get grounded, either to the chassis of the h/u or to a ground on your car.

You dont have to use wire this thick as in the pic, but you can see it isnt a big mess, just make sure your rca's can plug back in perfect, and your ground wire around the rca connects are tight enough to make good contact. Only takes a half hour and gets rid of the problem...... FO - EVA

my pioneer unit had the extention for the rca's.(unlike the one above) i plugged in all 3 sets of rca's and wrapped wire around each one and grounded similiar to the one above.. pretty much the same concept though. worked great for me.

I also have the extension for the RCA's and did the same thing you did.

The noise got a little bit better, but there's still a little bit of whine noise.

Can it be anything else? Thanks

I had to ground my HU to the same point my amps are grounded to get rid off the noise in my system, I would just run a test wire than route it officially if that gets rid if the last bit of alt whine.

According to quora, not need to ground any RCA cables not connected to other devices. Like a module. Internally grounded. If you did ground it, did you place it on the chassis or box? Noise reduction wire is inside the RCA cables.
