how do you go about to figure out port velocity?

In all honesty: v=w*x*a1/a2*(w^2/wport^2-1). Then mach=v/c, where c=wavelength*frequency or 344.41m/s. Etc,etc,etc. Not something to explain in a text or two.

Any formula can be taught, just takes time and effort and more importantly, understanding. And that usually comes at a cost now days, lol.

As to the OP, I wish I could be more help to you right now, but the best I can tell you, is if you figure for it, the m/s limit is about 25-30 at lowest impedance of the design. That's all I can say about it as it is very complex to understand fully.
