How do you glue a PVC port?

My port is 6" diameter and 13" long. What glue do I use to keep it secure? I'm thinking about using silicone. Anything better?

i use loctite power grab heavy duty construction adhesive the flawless results type. goes on white dries clear and u can stick a car to the pavement with it. 3.50 a tube at home depot.
