How do you get rid of canker sores?

I don't even know if i spelled it right, all i know is this is my first one and i hate it, its almost the whole side of my tongue, and it sux at life.

Anyone know how to get rid of this thing? I'm thinking about cutting off my tongue, that may be better than this.

On a serious note salt water, it will sting but its supposed to help. I usually just let them heal themselves.

Go to walmart and get some canker sore relief medicine. I used to get canker sores like 10 at a time...it was horrendous. Just keep putting the stuff on them (it numbs them) whenever it hurts and try to keep it clean of anything.
