As far as I know you upgrade the alternator to battery positive cabling, and both the alternator and battery grounds to something decent like 1/0. Theres plenty o videos on Youtube of Big 3 installs.

Use this forum Big 3 upgrade tutorial. If you are a visual person go to youtube and type in big 3 upgrade. There some good videos that go step by step.

Agreed! Only use true 1/0 power wires.

Its a good amp. What are you pushing? I could show you better amps and worse amps. When your are looking at an amp look at it's efficiency and if it is CEA 2006 rated amongst other things.
