Why is it unethical to wall some 21s?Knew that. Wasn't referring to that statement. Just simply putting it into perspective for it would seem a little abstract to wall only 2 12s. I was comparing actually feasible ideas against unethical ones.
That van was fucking real dude. I saw some vids of it on youtube. What I really liked though was the clamshell with the four BTLs that rattled the top console thingy off. When you need to get loud... A wall is the way to go. Depends on the vehicle and the goals.
I wanted a really loud daily ride, so I got a van and walled 24 15s. It worked for me, but the car was falling apart from bass so it made a crappy daily driver. But a wall in general for daily isnt bad at all.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifJust wall it. Dont be one of those fegs who thinks he is hot shit because he broke a 150 with a "non-walled" box that is 10" over his windowline.
You could just get some convex mirrors that stick on to your existing mirrors. I swear to god that they work just as well as rear views, but a rear-view camera wouldn't hurt anything.i'm debating the same thing with my 98 explorer, only its currently my daily driver. have a box about 3 inches over my rear seat for my 18s, may be walling off 2 21" death penaltys.
i can't get my rear view to stay ont he windshield anyway, but i am used to looking over my shoulder before switching lanes... i would still have the rear door windows at least, and could add a rear camera to my deck.
I don't trust a lot of people's driving skills with completely stock vehicles - adding a lot of mass above the center of gravity, along with the reduced visibility for people who aren't used to driving like that is just asking for trouble, IMO.Other than MPG's and HP going down.If you're ok with losing that then why not?
Care to elaborate?

If you're familiar with handling larger/heavier vehicles or are willing to understand the limitations physics puts on you, that's better - but for an inexperienced Joe Blow asking how to get louder, I wouldn't want to recommend it.
I'm quite guilty of this.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif...I'm so glad that box is out, just throwing shit together to get them in ftl.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifJust wall it. but you still lost the back seat, so it's almost the same. Although you still have a rearview mirror which is nice.^agreed, walls are fun but I must say I like my half-wall...may look into a clamshell in the future with a bunch of tens possibly
Lol, that's why I felt like doing a half-wall...since its still my daily driver I wanted to still keep it functional and able to see everythingbut you still lost the back seat, so it's almost the same. Although you still have a rearview mirror which is nice.
I was backing out the Altima the other night and backed into my van //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
You need backup sensors.but you still lost the back seat, so it's almost the same. Although you still have a rearview mirror which is nice.
