I already bought 50 feet of 16 awg speaker wires and was wondering how am i gonna install the speakers to the 4 channel amp? Am i going to need to remove the door panel and remove the OEM speaker wires and replace them with the 16 awg wires? How will i route my speaker wires from the front all the way to the back??

Thanks.

it would be easiest to just tap into the wires behind your head unit. That way you know where all of them are and which one is which. You'll need a bit more wire most likely though. What kind of car is it?

Edit- just read it was a pathfinder.. yeah you'll need more wire

Go behind the radio. Cut all the speaker wires at the harness. Take the front speaker wires at the harness and tap into the rear speaker wires at the harness. Now, on the rear speakers, take those wires and run them to the amp- those will be your front speaker connections. Then take some wire and run it from the rear speakers to the amp.

been reading this over and over again and it's quite confusing for me to understand.

Ok, i cut the speaker wires of the harness. and then attach the 16 awg wire to it and then run them to the back?

You could do it that way. You'll be using more wire though.

I'll break it down a little better this time-

-Cut all the speaker wires at the harness behind the radio

-After you know what wire is to what speaker, take the front speaker wires that you just cut, and splice them to the rear speaker wires you just cut (front right speaker to rear right speaker, front left speaker to rear left speaker).

-Now, you are done with the wiring behind the radio. You can put the dash back together.

-Next, go to the rear speakers. Cut the wires at the rear speakers, and wire those to the amp. Those will be the wires for your front speakers.

-Then, wire up the rear speakers to the amp.

That better? It's hard to understand it without seeing it and figuring it out for yourself. LMK if you still don't know what I mean...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

1. just run your new speaker wire directly to your speakers by taking off any trim/door panels that you need to hide the wire behind.

2. run the wires through the factory rubber tubes that go in between the body and doors.

3. Connect speakers to amp.

4. Be happy.
