How do i do this??

Blew a fuse on a power wire. Tried to replace the fuse (with wire still hooked up to amp and battery) and it sparked as i tried to fit it. IDK if this blew the fuse or not because you cant tell with the fuses i bought. So i then unscrewed the wire from the battery and tried to put the fuse in. Got it in and when i put the wire terminal back onto the battery its also sparked..and the amp wont turn on so im guessing the fuse blew. SO how the hell do i do this?? It sparks and blows the fuse either way i do it?? lol

This should help for sure. I always get minor sparks when I reconnect the negative stuff though too.

Power wire is touching metal? So even the rubber part cant touch metal? I really hope the fuse blew and thats why the amp wont work cuz i just bought this amp used lol...

unhook the power wire from the amp insert a fuse if it still sparks then yes you have a dead short on your power wire if not your amp is bad.

Will do tomoro its dark out now. But then wont it spark and blow the fuse again when i try to plug the wire into the amp terminal?

It will blow the fuse again if the amp is bad or the power wire is touching metal somewhere.

Disconnect ground from battery, and both wires from amp. Ensure they are not touching, I like to wrap them with electrical tape just to be sure. Put fuse in power wire. Reconnect ground to battery. If it blows at this point, you have a short somewhere in your wiring. If it doesn't blow, disconnect ground from battery again. Reconnect your positive and negative wires to your amp. Ensure that there are no stray strands of wire between your positive and negative terminals on your amp that could possibly short out the wire. Make sure your gains are all the way down. Reconnect your ground to battery. If the fuse blows at this point, you have a short somewhere inside your amp.

When you say power wore touching metal, do you mean even the wire that isnt exposed cant touch metal? Or just the ends that are cut away from the rubber/insulation?

Well when i tried to replace the fuse, I had he wire connected to the battery and the amp. The terminal on the amp is metal. So mabey that was it? Ground, speaker wires, remote, and rcas where also connected to the amp at this time.
