How do I copy VHS to DVD

Hey guys, just wanted to know if any of you know what I would need, so I could use my computer tocopy my vhs tapes to a dvd. I have Roxio easy cd creator already but is there any other hardware I need.

well, you can get a tuner car, or a VHS and DVD player/burner combo, assuming it dosen't have strict copy portection

jmac covered a lot lol... ra4u2nv .. the cards vary. you could get a video card with capturing potential or a tv tuner card would do the trick ... 40 - 1000 lol

My dad uses some kind of adapter that you can hook up to your computer that will download VHS video from any VCR onto your computer so that you can burn it onto a DVD. Im not sure what it is, but he got it from CompUSA for like $100.
