tell me how bad I sucked at this?

well this weeken I came across 2 cheap subs (bazooka csw1014)

so I thought I would build a box for them.

I didnt really find any box sizes for them and I dont really understand the stats

I have a old school amp Pioneer GM-H100 running them

here are the stats Power Handling 150 w

Impedance 4 ohms

Sensitivity 88 dB

Frequency Response 16Hz-1500Hz

Recommended Power 50w - 100w (RMS)

Voice Coil Size 1.5 inch

Magnet Weight 30 ounces

Fs 30 Qts .44 Qms 4.11 Qes .49 Vas 2.25 Xmax .75 in. (total xmax) Re 3.4 Le 1.7

so the boxs i put together for them ended up at 1.6 cubicfeet

with a 3" wide 5" deep port

here are some pics

well at the end of it all it makes some boom for $150 for 2sub's wood &amp

I think I done all right ( still have to make the wires look nice)

edit: nvm its 3.2 for both //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so your tuned right at around 40hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif looks good man

that actually looks really well put together. would probably sound better facing the rear though. nice explorer btw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

wiring could be cleaned up a little but i'm guessing you did since the panels are still off in that pic.

Thanks for supporting a Louisiana-based company!

Box construction looks pretty good, actually.

Certainly more effort than I would have dedicated to a pair of entry-level drivers like those.

Good job! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

Bazooka isn't all that bad for daily driving.

looks good, but what is the box made of.....looks like plywood, if so...good thing those are just some entry level subs....most boxes, as you probably already know, are made of mdf...it doesn't flex like plywood will

but altogether it looks great, nice box, just need to straighten up those wires like you said.

and for $150 altogether, good deal...my subs cost that much by themselves.

I don't know how familiar you are with my corner of the state up here...but Shreveport and Bossier City are basically the same town but separated in two by the Red River.

I was at the Pep Boys in Bossier one afternoon getting some headlight bulbs and the fella in line in front of me to checkout was buying himself an entire Bazooka setup less the HU which was one of the lower-end Kenwoods sold at Pep Boys. This consisted of a pair of Bazooka 12s, two sets of Bazooka coaxs, two Bazooka amps, and then the Kenwood HU. All of the afore-mentioned gear was to be tied together with a mass of Lightning Audio wiring and related accessories. I guess nobody ever enlightened this fella that there are other sources of audio gear outside of Pep Boys.

At any rate I watched the cashier ringing all of this guy's audio gear up and it totaled a bit over a $1,100 after it was all said and done.

Some months later I crossed paths with that fella again and he had it all installed and running. I asked him if I could hear what the end result was.

Was it terrible?

No, not completely.

Was it worth what he paid for it?

I think likely not.

I might possibly buy Bazooka gear if I could get a really good deal on it but there's no way I'd pay retail for it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Who spends (besides the guy described above) over a grand for stereo gear at PEP BOYS?!?

But! At the end of the day he was supporting a Baton Rouge-based business so I can't be mad about that I don't suppose...

I asked

the back,sides,top,bottem are 3/4 mdf

I ran out of mdf so for the front i used 3/4 maple plywood

I know i should of used mdf but no stores were open at midnight lol
